The business was started up in 1987 by its present owner and initially it involved the making of small turned metal parts in very small batches using conventional lathes, for use in compressed air & hydraulics. At this time, tooling like small press tools, moulds and jigs were individually designed and manufactured for customers.

Factory growth

In 1995, the business invested in its first CNC machine. It was an interact 1 Bridgeport Milling machine with ISO 30 taper hand changed tooling and Heidenhain Controls. From then onwards, the company acquired various CNC machining and turning center.

Global certified

Sputnik follows inhouse quality systems. Most of our systems are audited by our clients , some of whom are important operators. Our suppliers are audited carefully and all materials can be traced to our suppliers who supply certificate of conformance for each supply which are filed for easy access. Our procedures are fully documennted as per various in--house manuals and we supply conformance certifications to our clinets as may be requested.

Machining Services

Our Machining services range from simple to sophisticated jobs employing a vast range of materials including exotic materials which require specialized knowhow.

Manufacturing Services

Our Facility can undertake the production of various custom machined parts in various quantities and sizes with single or repeat jobs on our vertical or turning centers.

3D Printing Services

We remanufacture and reverse engineer your damaged piece of equipment and produce it with FFF 3D printing which employs a fused filament deposit with 3 dimensional building of the model. We can also do prototyping and remanufacture anything in various polymer plastics, employing 3dimensional modelling.

3D Printing Machinery Manufacturing

We design and manufacture 3D printing Industrial/semi industrial machinery and our product will soon be launched. The Product is manufactured for our sister company Mendelevium 3D technologies.

Machinery & Equipment Refurbishing

We refurbish and rebuild industrial machinery and re-manufacture any worn or broken parts.
